CREATING NEW STANDARDS
AND CLIMBING PRACTICES

Climbing is an inspiring, centuries-old sport that has always encouraged a positive imagination and an active mind and body. Today, it's an outdoor and indoor activity that constantly sets and surpasses new limits. A new community of urban climbers and environmentalists is born. They are addicted, enthusiastic and immersed in their discipline.

SNAP, born in the 90s in Chamonix, is an iconic French brand, known in the climbing world for its quirky and innovative vision of climbing products. Right from the start, SNAP made its mark with wire-mesh drawers and ultra-resistant crash-pads. Even today, it continues to break free from strictly traditional visions and sets standards for a new, spontaneous vision of climbing, encouraging free spirits and aesthetics.

CONSTRUCTION TOURNEDOS

This is an exclusive construction method. It's a one-piece reinforcement in ballistic polyester (1680 denier) that goes all the way around the crash pad, over, under and over, with no seams at the edges. Try to find a tougher crash pad!

THE CRASH PAD WRAP

It's a patented variable-hardness design that makes the sling relatively soft and comfortable for seated starts, but the higher you go and the longer the fall, the firmer the crash pad becomes.
The PU foam is separated into 24 individual cells, each covered by a taffeta envelope, which is slightly perforated. On a small fall, air is expelled through these holes, resulting in a softer landing, but this is not the case on a larger fall. In this case, the air is held back by the envelope because the impact speed is much higher and the air doesn't have time to be expelled. The net result is a firmer crash pad for a high-impact fall - simple but effective.

SNAPBOARD

An innovative wooden beam where the individual holds are placed symmetrically in relation to their different grips, and not in relation to the center of the board. This means that shoulder width remains constant.

CREAM OF MAGNESIA

The first cream of magnesia is thicker than liquid magnesia. It is water-based and can be used often, as it is less aggressive on the skin. It favors comfort over performance, and is easy to clean.

QUARTERPOUNDER CRASH-PAD

Another patented model that fills in four. When unfolded, its landing area relative to its folded volume is unique. This makes it easy to transport and ideal for block circuits.

SNAPACK

The first backpack to feature a zipped opening between the carrying straps. It's easy to open and gives direct access to all your gear, which, like the straps, stays clean and dry because it never comes into contact with the ground.

DIGITAL RESISTANCE SEAMS

Logo seams are sewn by a robot, replacing the traditional straight seams sewn by hand. They are used in express slings and the return ring of harnesses.

WHAM CRASH-PAD

This model, created in 2001, is in a way the symbol of the SNAP brand. It's a one-piece that rolls up with no creases, no seams and no weak points in the middle. Easy to transport and super-safe to use.
