What is the main difference between a pouch and a block bag?

The pochon (or Chalk Pocket) is lightweight, compact, and attaches around the waist with an adjustable belt (included) to follow you throughout your ascent. The block bag (Big Chalk Bag or Chalk Box) is more voluminous and features a stable base to stay planted to the ground while you climb.

How can I prevent the magnesium from escaping into my backpack?

This is the specialty of our «Dry» models (Big Chalk Bag Dry and Chalk Pocket Zip Dry) as well as our folding Chalk Box. Unlike conventional closures with a simple cord, they use fully waterproof zippers or roll-top closures that hermetically lock the dust inside.
